The Classic III stethoscope is used by students and medical professionals to identify, listen to, and study heart, lung, and other body sounds for physical assessment, patient monitoring, and diagnosis.

High Performance

The Classic III stethoscope offers high acoustic sensitivity and a versatile two-sided chestpiece with tunable diaphragms for excellent performance. Tunable diaphragm technology – a 3M invention – enables different frequency sounds to be heard by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece.

Use the chestpiece with light pressure to listen for low-frequency sounds; press a little harder to hear higher-frequency sounds. This time-saving feature allows the practitioner to focus on the patient, while the non-chill rims provide comfort for the patient.

Patented 3M™ Littmann® Stethoscope Seal Eartips provide a secure, comfortable fit with eartip tension. Durable, next-generation tubing maintains its shape and flexibility even after being tightly folded and tucked into a pocket. Improved resistance to skin oils and alcohols ensures longer stethoscope life and is less likely to stain.

The new generation of tubing is free of natural rubber latex and phthalate plasticizers to benefit sensitive clinicians and their patients while also protecting human health and the environment.

The Classic III stethoscope is made in the USA to ensure consistent quality. It comes with large and small soft-sealing eartips, heavy-duty eartip coils, a non-chill bell frame, and an instruction booklet.
