3M Tegaderm CHG transparent film dressing, Chlorhexidine Gluconate IV Protective Film Dressing is used to protect the catheter insertion site and to securely fix the catheter to the skin. Tegaderm CHG film dressing consists of a transparent, adhesive dressing and a gel pad containing 2% chlorhexidine gluconate, an antiseptic agent with broad-spectrum antimicrobial and antifungal activity.

This film dressing acts as a barrier to fluids (waterproof), bacteria and yeast, and protects the IV site from external contamination.

Gel pad features

The gel pad absorbs up to eight times its weight in liquid. Tegaderm CHG Flm Dressing is transparent, allows continuous observation of the applied area, and provides moisture vapor balance with its air permeable feature.
