Product Usage Areas

Abilar 10% Resin Cream is a highly effective product that can be used on different types of wounds. These types of wounds include:

• Acute wounds, infected and noninfected
• Chronic wounds: pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers
• Surgical wounds
• Burns
• Ingrown toenail inflammations
• Scratches, bruises and abrasions
• Skin cracks: fingertips, heels, and corners of the mouth
• Diaper rash: between the toes, under the breasts, in the intergluteal region

Usage

Cleanse and dry minor wounds and cracks in the skin with water or physiological saline solution. Apply a thin layer of Abilar® 10% Resin Cream to the affected area 1-3 times daily. When treating larger wounds, carefully remove necrotic and contaminated tissue and foreign matter from the wound area. Apply Abilar® 10% Resin Cream directly to the wound.

Maintenance Method

The wound is usually covered with a dressing selected according to its characteristics and the amount of wound fluid, and which provides air contact. The dressing protects the wound and ensures that the cream remains in the applied area. Care should be given every 1 to 3 days, depending on the amount of wound fluid and the severity of the infection. When changing the dressing, clean the wound with water or physiological saline solution, dry it and apply a thin layer of Abilar® 10% Resin Cream. Use Abilar® 10% Resin Cream until the wound heals. The duration of treatment may vary from a few days to a few months.

Allergic Conditions

Do not use Abilar® 10% Resin Cream if you are allergic to resin (colophonium) or any other ingredients of the product.
