AmniSure

FDA-approved and CE-certified, AmniSure is an easy, reliable and specific test that diagnoses premature membrane rupture quickly and accurately.

Product Features

It uses a new generation Immunochromatographic method.

It detects a very small amount (5ng/ml) of amniotic fluid in the vaginal area. (0.05 - 0.005 drops of amniotic fluid)

There is no need for examination with a speculum or other reagents or instruments.

The result can be decided visually.

A reliable aid for doctors, the test can be administered by nurses and caregivers.

A single test covers the entire diagnostic spectrum (from the most difficult cases to acceptable systems)

AmniSure Purpose of Use

The AmniSure® ROM (Rupture of [Fetal] Membranes) test is a rapid, instrument-free qualitative immunochromatographic test for the in vitro detection of amniotic fluid in vaginal discharge from pregnant women. The test should be performed by healthcare professionals on women with suspected pregnancy to help detect rupture of fetal membranes.

How to Use AmniSure

My name Instructions
1 Take the solvent vial with its cap and shake it well to make sure all the liquid in the vial drips to the bottom. Open the solvent vial and place it in a vertical position.
2 Use the sterile Polyester cotton swab inside to take a sample from the surface of the vagina. Remove the cotton swab from its packaging by following the instructions on the package. Carefully insert the Polyester end of the cotton swab into the vagina (no deeper than 5-7cm). After one minute, remove the cotton swab from the vagina.
3 Place the polyester tip into the vial and rinse the cotton swab in the solvent by swirling it around for one minute.
4 Remove the cotton swab and throw it away.
5 Tear the foil pouch at the tear notch and remove the AmniSure test strip.
6 Place the white end of the Test Strip (marked with an arrow) into the vial with solvent. A very small leak of amniotic fluid will last exactly 10 minutes, while a strong leak will cause the result to appear early (within seconds).
7 If it is clearly visible in the vial, remove the Test Strip or remove it after exactly 10 minutes. Read the results by placing the test on a clean, dry, flat surface. Do not read or interpret the results after 15 minutes have passed since the Test Strip has settled in the vial.
