AQUACEL® Ag Dressing
Silver-impregnated antimicrobial absorbent AQUACEL® Ag dressing is a soft, sterile, non-woven pad or strip dressing composed of Hydrofiber® and ionic silver. The silver in the dressing kills a broad spectrum of wound bacteria and helps create an antimicrobial environment.
Product Features
The dressing absorbs a high amount of wound fluid and bacteria, forming a soft, cohesive gel that completely covers the wound surface, provides a moist environment and helps remove dead tissue from the wound (autolytic debridement). The moist wound environment and control of wound bacteria support the wound healing process and help reduce the risk of wound infection. It offers the power of ionic silver combined with the unique gelling properties of AQUACEL® Ag Hydrofiber® technology.
The ionic silver in AQUACEL® Ag dressing kills many types of pathogens that can cause infection, including MRSA, VRE and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and helps reduce the bioburden of the wound.
