AQUACEL® Ag Antimicrobial Dressing
AQUACEL® Ag is a soft, sterile, non-woven pad or strip dressing composed of Hydrofiber® and ionic silver. This silver-impregnated antimicrobial absorbent dressing creates an antimicrobial environment by killing a broad spectrum of wound bacteria.
Product Features
AQUACEL® Ag dressing absorbs high amounts of wound fluid and bacteria and helps remove dead tissue from the wound area. This maintains a moist environment, accelerating the wound healing process and reducing the risk of infection. The unique gelling properties of Hydrofiber® technology and the power of ionic silver play a key role in reducing the bioburden of the wound.
Areas of Use and Indications
AQUACEL® Ag Hydrofiber® dressing is ideal for moderate to heavily exuding wounds and for wounds where infection is present or the risk of infection is high. It may also be used under medical supervision in the management of the following conditions:
