Ostomy powder is indicated for use on macerated peristomal skin. Due to maceration, time is needed for the skin to heal and it is important that the skin under the adhesive is dry to prevent further maceration. Ostomy powder has excellent moisture absorption properties.

Ostomy powder has excellent moisture absorbing properties. It effectively absorbs exudate and output. It keeps the peristomal skin dry and reduces further skin irritation. A small squeeze will absorb excess moisture. Excess powder should be scraped off the skin.
