HEXATULLE Product Description

HEXATULLE is for use as a topical treatment only. It is indicated for a wide range of wounds at risk of infection or in combination with systemic antibiotics for wounds that are already infected.

HEXATULLE Contains:

Minor burns and scalds.
Lacerations, abrasions and other skin loss wounds.
Donor and recipient graft sites.
Leg ulcers.

Usage Limits:

For adults, do not use on more than 15% of body area wounds.
For children, do not use on more than 10% of body area wounds.

Contraindications:

Do not use in cases of known sensitivity or allergy to chlorhexidine.
Dermatitis, contact sensitivity or photosensitivity may occur rarely.

Warnings:

Avoid contact with eyes, middle ear, meninges and brain.
HEXATULLE is incompatible with soaps, other anionic substances and potassium iodide.
HEXATULLE is not recommended for use with oxidizing wound cleansers.

It is a single use product:

Application Instructions:

My name Explanation
1 Clean the wound using standard techniques.
2 Select the correct size wrapper and peel off the bag (or tear off the end of the roll wrapper).
3 Remove the protective paper using gloves and forceps.
4 Place in a single layer over the wound in direct contact with the wound surface.
5 Apply a secondary absorbent dressing if necessary and secure in place with a dressing retention bandage or dressing fixation paper.
6 HEXATULLE may be left in place while the absorbent secondary dressing is changed. The frequency of change will depend on the clinical circumstances and may vary from once daily to twice weekly.
7 If the dressing adheres, gently moisten it with sterile saline solution.
